Los Angeles-based vocalist Staci Griesbach revisits country music icon George Jone’s six-decade recording catalog in My George Jones Songbook, presenting the legend’s classic hits nestled in a jazz context. Downbeat magazine says, “Griesbach achieves her aim of paying tribute not through imitation, but by exploring new possibilities through new artistry.” The performance salutes Griesbach’s album release this year celebrating the icon’s 90th birthday.
